Dsquared2 Resort 2014

Dean and Dan Caten effectively merged two disparate influences — the safari and Fifties glamour — into a charming resort lineup that combined commercial appeal with the duo’s sexy, cheeky spirit. Case in point: a nice forest green shirt dress, and delicate, piped blouses worn with form-fitting skirts with exaggerated utility pockets. For evening, the designers took an elegant turn with black column dresses, including one with a peplum that could have worked for Audrey Hepburn in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” while modern-day Holly Golightlys might opt for a double-breasted tuxedo jacket paired with lamb leather shorts.
